AEG Power Solutions, a provider of power electronics for renewable energy applications, has debuted two new products in its inverter line for the Americas: the Protect PV.500 OD UL and Protect PV.630 OD UL.
These central solar inverters are both UL-certified and designed for utility-scale applications on ground-mounted installations in harsh outdoor environments, the company says. A key feature of the Protect PV inverter line is a power stack with advanced measuring and control technology that enables DC input voltages of up to 1,000 V and peak efficiencies of 98.4%.
The inverters also support a wide operating temperature range (-4 degrees F to +122 degrees F), while their light weight (3.64 lbs) and small dimensions (87 x 89 x 36 inches) make them easier to transport, install and service.
