Air Liquide and Sixtron Advanced Materials have entered an exclusive partnership to promote and distribute coating materials to crystalline silicon (c-Si) solar cell manufacturers worldwide.
The agreement will allow Air Liquide to distribute Sixtron's Silexium technology, a silane-free antireflective passivation coating designed to reduce light-induced degradation (LID) in solar cells. Solar cells with a Silexium antireflective passivation coating exhibit as much as 88% less LID than solar cells with traditional silane-based SiN coatings, according to the companies.
