Los Gatos, Calif.-based Akeena Solar Inc., a designer and installer of solar power systems, has completed the installation of a 134 kW solar power system for a biotech company based in Burlingame, Calif.
Akeena Solar installed 645 solar panels on the biotech company's rooftop, which will lower its electricity bills by approximately $24,000 per year. Additionally, over half the installation costs will be covered by California's solar rebate program and a federal tax credit, the company says.
