Germany-based aleo solar GmbH has unveiled its 300 W photovoltaic module with improved weak-light performance.
The company says the new module is able to work at its full efficiency level of 18.3% in conditions of weak irradiation of 200 W per square meter. The modules incorporate special cell connectors that guide more light into the cells, while front glass anti-reflection coating and a highly transparent film increase the luminous efficacy.
‘Our new high-power modules should receive particular interest from countries like the United Kingdom, where a cloudy sky is more usual than in southern Europe, for example,’ says Gunter Schulze, managing director of aleo solar. ‘Yields are consistently high even on cloudy days, and during morning and evening hours.’
