Germany-based aleo solar is supplying solar panels for four photovoltaic projects in Turkey with a cumulative capacity of 5.8 MW.
Among the projects will be a 3 MW commercial roof-mounted installation in the town of Eskisehir in the Anatolia region. Two other large roof-mounted systems in Eskisehir have planned capacities of 1.15 MW and 1 MW, respectively. A 650 kW ground-mounted installation is planned for Izmir, on Turkey's Aegean coast.
Turkey-based Ekip Girisim Enerji is developing the projects, for which aleo is supplying over 20,000 of its modules. The developer says it selected high-efficiency modules in order to obtain the greatest yield from the available surface area.
‘The Turkish photovoltaic market is still young but holds a lot of promise,’ says Mehmet Celik, CEO of Ekip Girisim Enerji.
