AMtec Solar, a manufacturer of solar combiner and recombiner boxes, has added a new product to its Equinox recombiner box line.
Rated for systems 600-1,000 VDC, the new ETL 1741-listed recombiner box is specifically designed for bipolar systems. The new bipolar recombiner box supports up to 14 circuits (seven positive, seven negative) and is available with UL489 or UL489b circuit breakers.
According to the company, this setup provides users with overcurrent protection and individual disconnecting means in one device while meeting the 2011 NEC requirements. Optional features include current monitoring, ground-fault detection and surge protection.
