Tempress Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Amtech Systems Inc., has received $8.5 million in new solar orders for its diffusion processing systems. The solar orders consist of a sizeable follow-on order from an existing customer and initial orders from two new customers, all based in Asia.
‘We are very pleased to receive the sizeable follow-on solar order and to expand our solar customer base in the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific region,’ says J.S. Whang, president and CEO of Amtech. ‘We will soon launch our new solar PECVD product and begin testing solar wafers with a major customer,’ Whang adds.
