Madrid, Spain-based engineering company Aries Ingenieria y Sistemas and the Elecnor Group have signed an agreement worth 275 million euros for the financing of the Astexol-2 concentrated solar power (CSP) plant, located in Badajoz, Spain.
This agreement consolidates the development stage of the project, the company says. The 50 MW Astexol-2 project is one of the three pre-assigned projects from the Spanish Ministry of Industry, in accordance with the Royal Decree 6/2009.
Project construction is expected to be completed before Dec. 31, 2012.
