Arizona Public Service Seeks Small-Scale Renewables

Arizona Public Service Co. has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for energy generated from small renewable projects.

The energy must come from projects with a capacity of between 2 MW and 15 MW, with a commercial operation date by Dec. 31, 2012, for solar and wind projects and by Dec. 31, 2013, for all other technologies. Eligible resources include solar, wind, biogas, landfill gas, biomass, geothermal, hybrid wind and certain hydropower technologies.

The solicitation is part of APS' Small Generation Program, which is designed to accelerate the number of successful small renewable generation projects by streamlining the proposal and contract procedures.

Interested parties are encouraged to participate in a bidder's conference on May 20. Additional information about the teleconference and the RFP is available online at www.aps.com/rfp.
