Ascent Solar Technologies Inc., a developer of thin-film solar modules, says its thin-film, monolithically integrated, copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) modules have received full IEC 61646 certification upon completion of environmental testing.
According to Ascent Solar, the company is the first high-power flexible CIGS module manufacturer to complete this certification. Ascent Solar will now make a push into building-integrated photovoltaic and building-applied photovoltaic applications for use in the commercial, industrial and residential rooftop markets.
