Ascent Solar Technologies Inc. has developed new building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products with variable widths for the U.S. standing seam metal roof marketplace. The work to optimize this new metal roof solution was part of an existing agreement with EnergyPeak, a Moon Township, Pa.-based marketing segment of CENTRIA Services Group.
Both companies expect the testing of these new BIPV products to proceed through the first half of this year, with the intent to purchase modules for projects in the second half of the year.
