Littleton, Colo.-headquartered Ascent Solar Technologies Inc., a developer of thin-film photovoltaic (PV) materials and modules, has hired Joseph McCabe as vice president of business development.
McCabe brings over 15 years of PV industry experience to his new role. Prior to joining Ascent Solar, he managed the solar energy research at the California Energy Commission. There, he most recently generated multiple contracts with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District.
He is a member of the board of directors of the Northern California Solar Energy Association and the board for Solar Today magazine. In addition, McCabe owns a U.S. patent integrating LED lighting directly into PV surfaces.
