To meet the growing demand for its monocrystalline solar modules, Advanced Solar Photonics (ASP) says it is expanding its solar panel manufacturing lines to 60 MW. Production is scheduled to ramp up this month.
With a recent acquisition of large-scale manufacturing production equipment, ASP covers the complete panel manufacturing process, including cell inspection, tabbing, stringing, setting, lamination, simulation, trimming and framing.
ASP plans production of 20 MW of panels (230 W) in the second half of this year, and 60 MW per year thereafter, which would make ASP one of the top 10 panel manufacturers in the U.S. and the only one in the state of Florida, according to the company.
