Astronergy Provides Modules For Tennessee Projects

China-based Astronergy (also known as Chint Solar), a subsidiary of Chint Group, has been selected to provide approximately 12,700 modules for use in several utility-scale projects in Tennessee.

The first four of these projects, which were 750 kW ground-mounted systems, were commissioned at the beginning of this month in Fayetteville, Tenn. Altogether, the four installations are expected to produce approximately 4.23 GWh annually. The energy will be purchased by the Tennessee Valley Authority through its Generation Partners Program.Â

Astronergy panels have been specified for additional Tennessee projects that are scheduled to be constructed next year, the company adds. Germany-based Solmotion is developing the plants.
