Atlantic Wind & Solar and its wholly owned Ontario subsidiary, Atlantic Solar Inc., have received notice-to-proceed letters from the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) on three utility-scale rooftop solar projects.
Located in the greater Toronto area, the projects have a name plate capacity of 600 kW and are expected to generate 12.3 million kWh of clean electricity over the next 20 years. The energy produced will be sold to the OPA under the province's feed-in tariff at a rate of C$0.635/kWh for one project and $0.713/kWh for the other two.
Construction is expected to commence shortly, Atlantic Wind & Solar says.
