Atlas Introduces XR360 Technology For PV Module Testing

0

Atlas Material Testing Technology has introduced the XR360 simulator for accelerated exposure testing of complete PV modules. According to the company, the XR360 integrates the recent developments in environmental chamber and xenon solar simulation technology. It is the successor to the XR260, which has been widely used for PV testing by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

The XR360 is capable of testing modules up to 1.9 meters by 1.4 meters – a capacity that covers more than 90% of the current production modules, Atlas says.

The XR360 chamber is equipped with four water-cooled, high-performance, long-arc lamps; has full climatic functionality; and is designed to run IEC tests not requiring light, such as the damp heat test.
