Atlas Material Testing Technology, a provider of accelerated aging and long-term durability assessment, and Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a third-party safety testing and certification provider, have entered into a strategic alliance.
According to the companies, this collaboration provides increased global testing capacity and accelerated aging expertise for the solar energy industry, as well as faster testing and certification turnaround time for manufacturers specializing in solar energy products.
‘One of the great benefits that are available through this alliance is the geographical diversity of existing and new testing sites that allows us to minimize project delays that otherwise might occur due to natural weather conditions,’ says Jeff Smidt, vice president and general manager of UL's global energy business.
