Azuray Technologies, a provider of solar power optimization electronics, says its AP300 power optimizer smart junction-box has received certification for both Europe and North America from TUV Rheinland.
The AP300 has been certified to meet the following standards: UL1703, UL1741, CSA 22.1 C107.1, VDE-0126-5 and IEC 62109. As a collaboration between Azuray Technologies and Renhe Photovoltaic Technology, the AP300 integrates Azuray's maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technology into Renhe's PV junction boxes. According to the company, the AP300 recoups up to 99.2% of energy that would otherwise be lost due to module mismatch or shading, thereby increasing a PV system's total energy harvest by up to 25%.
In addition, Azuray has entered into a partnership with Aten Solar Corp. to distribute the Azuray AP250 power optimizer throughout North America. The AP250 is an MPPT power optimizer that increases energy harvest without the purchase of additional supporting equipment, the company says.
The AP250 integrates seamlessly into existing solar panel systems and is compatible with most solar inverters and most crystalline solar modules, Azuray adds.
