Baker Electric Solar, a full-service solar integrator, has partnered with Blue Oak Energy, a renewable energy engineering design firm, to install a 1.5 MW PV system at the new Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQs) complex at the U.S. Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) in Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Awarded by NAVFAC Southwest, developed by the Straub Martin-Harris Joint Venture and designed by PGAL LLC, the MCAGCC BEQ 9 project included three four-story BEQs and related components. Baker Electric Solar served as subcontractor for all of the electrical and solar construction, while Blue Oak Energy completed and coordinated the design engineering for the solar integration.

The MCAGCC's 464,000 square-foot solar project consisted of four separate solar array structures, featuring 4,680 SunPower E19/318 modules.
