Balqon Corp., a developer of electric vehicles, drive systems and lithium battery storage devices, has introduced new lithium batteries designed to serve as an alternative to the deep-cycle lead-acid batteries in solar energy storage applications.
The new HIQAP batteries are available in 12 V, 24 V and 48 V configurations, with an amp-hour capacity ranging from 700 Ah to 1,000 Ah. The battery packs include Balqon's proprietary battery management system and related power electronics components for direct replacement of current lead-acid battery packs.
According to the company, HIQAP lithium battery packs are designed to support large daily loads requiring deep depth of discharge and high energy transfer efficiency for solar applications and other applications.
