The Trojan Battery Company, a Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-headquartered producer of deep cycle batteries, has plans to launch a seven-year limited warranty program for North American battery customers in the solar/renewable energy market. The warranty covers Trojan's six-volt L16P and L16H deep cycle batteries that are used for solar or renewable energy.
‘Our steadfast customers know our reputation and depend on our products to last, even in the most challenging of applications,’ says Tony Grace, Trojan's director of new business development. ‘This warranty just gives our customers, old and new, another reason for buying Trojan.’
According to the company, the warranty covers batteries that have become unserviceable because of material defects or workmanship. It does not cover the costs related to transportation, installation, recharging, electrical system tests, or loss of time or use of equipment.
