Bay Future Inc., Midland Tomorrow and Saginaw Future Inc. plan to launch a solar initiative, which is part of the Great Lakes Bay Economic Development Partnership (EDP) – a broader partnership intended to attract increased business investment to the Great Lakes Bay area of Michigan.
An upcoming presentation to officially begin the initiative is slated to include a presentation by three economic development organization presidents, who will speak on the collaborative structure of the Great Lakes EDP.
A specialized marketing campaign and Web site that will focus on the solar supply chain will also be officially launched. Mary Lou Benecke, state government relations manager for Dow Corning Corp., will discuss opportunities for the Great Lakes Bay region to expand in solar development and photovoltaics.
