Solar training provider Boots On The Roof has introduced a new online solar PV training course. The Photovoltaic Design Foundations class combines online learning with professional audio narration, animation, video and exercises, the company says.
The course allows students to take four to seven weeks to complete the course and earn a Boots Entry-Level Photovoltaic Design certification. Topics covered include photovoltaic systems, site evaluation, cells and modules, mechanical integration, system components, battery systems and charge controllers, and economic analysis.
Boots on the Roof adds that it offers an entire solar kit, including real solar PV cells, DC motors and a multi-meter, for every student enrolled in the online course.
