Borrego Solar Systems, a solar designer and installer with offices in San Diego and Berkeley, Calif., has opened a new branch in Charlestown, Mass., and formed a partnership with Marlboro, Mass.-based Evergreen Solar Inc. to further its operations in Massachusetts and the Northeastern U.S.
Borrego Solar has completed and is currently working on several installations in Massachusetts, including a solar photovoltaic (PV) system for Boston radio station WXRV. Leading the company's market expansion in the region will be Brendan Neagle, vice president of business development, Borrego Solar says.
Additionally, Chris Anderson, chief operations officer and co-owner, has moved to the area to oversee expansion efforts.
‘Opening an office in the Northeast has been a major objective of Borrego Solar since the beginning, and a key step toward our goal of making solar energy an accessible, affordable and effective alternative for homeowners and businesses all across the country,’ says Anderson. ‘Solar power is now as viable an alternative for the East Coast as it has become in the West.’
