Solar Trust of America LLC, an integrated industrial solar solutions company, has hired Steven J. Brewer as executive vice president and chief commercial officer. In his new position, Brewer will also serve as CEO of Solar Trust of America Contracting LLC (Solar Trust's wholly owned engineering, procurement and construction [EPC] subsidiary) and serve as a member of the management board of Solar Trust of America.
Brewer will be responsible for overseeing all of Solar Trust's and its subsidiaries' EPC activities, as well as operations and maintenance activity. The company's subsidiaries include Solar Millennium LLC, which recently obtained final approval from the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management to begin construction on its 1,000 MW Blythe Solar Power Project in California.
Brewer has more than 20 years of utility industry experience and joins Solar Trust from Omaha, Neb.-based Tenaska Energy Inc., a power plant development, construction and operations company. He most recently served as project director.
