Breyer GmbH has introduced new extrusion lines for encapsulation films that offer a low incidence of shrinkage and enable higher process rates. The technology, the company says, ultimately allows for a smooth and fast laminating process and protects cells' electrical connections.
The company explains that to minimize film shrinkage, the laminating warm-up procedure must be carefully controlled, which could increase the laminating time. Breyer's new extrusion process makes it is possible to extrude EVA film at a high speed by keeping shrinkage rates low.
