Concentrating solar power project developer BrightSource Energy has filed documents to suspend permitting procedures for its 500 MW Hidden Hills project, which was to be developed in California's Inyo County.
Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) has canceled its power purchase agreement (PPA) with BrightSource. A spokesperson for BrightSource told Bloomberg that the contract termination occurred due to uncertainty regarding transmission upgrade timing.
BrightSource initially filed its application for certification for the Hidden Hills project in August 2011.
