Satcon Technology Corp., a provider of utility-scale power solutions for the renewable energy market, has announced the first commercial deployment of its newly introduced Solstice product.
The 425 kW rooftop installation, which will supply power to Alpha Grainger Manufacturing's Franklin, Mass., facility, was developed by Broadway Electrical. The solar plant was built as part of Alpha Grainger's green initiative to offset its manufacturing plants' high usage of energy. The project is scheduled to be completed this month.
The Alpha Grainger site will utilize 1,500 roof-mounted panels and four of Satcon Solstice 100 kW models, integrated with 16 Solstice SSB combiner boxes.
