The California Department of Water Resources (CDWR) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for renewable energy and capacity, including renewable energy credits, from renewable facilities through one or more power purchase agreements (PPAs).
Proposals must be based on facilities or proposed share of facilities with a capacity of at least 5 MW. The CDWR says it prefers an annual volume of energy between 30,000 MWh and 125,000 MWh.Â
The agency says the delivery period must be a minimum of five years, with delivery commencing no earlier than July 1, 2016, and no later than Jan. 1, 2020. Proposals are due no later than March 28 at 3:00 pm.
