CALSEIA Names New Executive Director

0

The California Solar Energy Industries Association (CALSEIA) has announced that Bryan Crabb will serve as its next executive director.

Crabb has a wealth of solar policy, legislative and regulatory experience, and comes to CALSEIA after serving as director of government affairs for both First Solar and OptiSolar. Before joining the solar sector, Crabb served as the California Public Utilities Commission's liaison to the Schwarzenegger administration and the California Legislature.

In the early and mid-2000s, Crabb served in the California Legislature, where he staffed and helped write Senate Bill 1, legislation that greatly expanded California's PV market.

Crabb was a key stakeholder in California's enactment and ongoing refinement of other landmark California solar policies, including the 33% by 2020 renewable portfolio standard, net metering, and the feed-in-tariff and renewable auction mechanism programs.
