A new index tracking Canada's top publicly traded clean technology companies has been launched.
According to an article in the Globe and Mail, the new CK Cleantech 10 has been created by the business ethics magazine Corporate Knights and The Cleantech Indices, a subsidiary of the Cleantech Group LLC. The companies listed on the index were chosen for their products and services and their financial performance.
Among the companies listed on the index's inaugural top-10 listing were the solar power equipment manufacturers Carmanah Technologies and Xantrex Corp.; Boralex Power Income Fund and Canadian Hydro Developers, the owner/operators of green power facilities; and WFI Inc., an Indiana geothermal heat pump manufacturer that trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
