Canadian Solar Inc. has connected an additional six solar power plants totaling 39.4 MW to the U.K. grid. The company says this brings its total fleet of solar power plants in commercial operation in the U.K. to approximately 103 MW.
The six solar projects were connected to the grid in March under the Renewable Obligations Certificate program.
“We are very pleased to announce that our portfolio of operating solar power plants in the U.K. has now reached over 100 MW,” comments Dr. Shawn Qu, chairman and CEO of Canadian Solar. “We remain committed to leveraging our industry-leading position and expertise in solar project development to meet the growing demand of clean solar energy in the U.K. and around the world.”
