Canadian Solar Solutions Inc. has completed the sale of its 10 MW CityLights solar power plant to Renewable Energy Trust (RET) Ontario Holdings, a subsidiary of RET Capital.

The sale represents the third in a portfolio of utility-scale plants Canadian Solar has sold to RET Capital.

The CityLights solar power plant is located in the town of Chesterville, Ontario. The electricity generated by this power plant, which is currently in operation, will be sold to Hydro One under a 20-year independent energy systems operator feed-in tariff contract.

Canadian Solar provided turnkey engineering, procurement and construction services, and will also provide operations and maintenance services. The plant was built using Canadian Solar's CSX-P-300/305P panels.

‘RET Capital is very pleased to close this deal with our friends at Canadian Solar,’ says John A. Bohn, chairman and CEO of RET Capital. ‘By purchasing CityLights, we now have a portfolio of more than 40 MW of solar assets in Ontario.’
