Canadian Solar Inc. has delivered its polycrystalline CS6P-P modules for a solar project atop a church in Skoczow-Pogorze in Upper Silesia, Poland.

The project developer, RenSan Energy, implemented the 37 kW system in less than three weeks, Canadian Solar notes. The array supplies power for the electric heating of the building, as well as the lighting system of the presbytery and adjoining buildings, including several chapels, conference rooms, 30 guest rooms and the canteen kitchen.

The project also benefits from remuneration for the kilowatt hours that are fed into the grid within the framework of a green certificate. It is the county's first photovoltaic installation, according to Canadian Solar.
