Camstar Systems Inc. says that Canadian Solar Inc. has selected Camstar's SolarSuite software platform to deploy in its cell manufacturing site in Suzhou and its module manufacturing site in Changshu, both in Jiangsu province, China.
According to Camstar, this system will help reduce cell and panel cost per watt and create a more effective manufacturing process environment for Canadian Solar.
‘The platform will help us improve manufacturing control, visibility and traceability of cell and module processes and materials, and consistent application of operational standards,’ states Dacheng Fang, vice president of business integration at Canadian Solar. ‘Reliable, timely information will help us more quickly resolve issues and make fact-based decisions.’
