Canadian Solar Secures Silicon From Four Suppliers

Canadian Solar Inc. has reached a series of solar silicon wafer supply agreements with four companies, including Jiangsu Shunda Group Corp. Before this summer, they should supply Canadian Solar with about 12 MW of silicon wafers, of which 4 MW will be provided by Shunda Group. The first shipment was scheduled for January.

In addition, Canadian Solar and Shunda Group have entered into a long-term solar silicon wafer supply agreement, through which Canadian Solar has two options of fixed prepayments in late 2008 and 2010, respectively. Shunda Group will help the company obtain supplies until 2015.
