Canasia Power Corp.'s wholly owned subsidiary, Canasia Solar Corp., is establishing a solar module manufacturing facility in the London, Ontario, region.
The manufacturing plant will initially have a 50 MW per annum capacity and will expand to a total build-out of 200 MW. The initial 50 MW facility will create over 100 jobs in the southern Ontario region and will grow to add over 500 jobs when it reaches full capacity, according to the company.
Canasia Solar plans to export the majority of its production to international markets, particularly India and the Middle East.
