Carbone Lorraine Signs Contracts To Supply Solar Market

Carbone Lorraine, a provider of graphite materials and solutions, has signed contracts with two major manufacturers in the solar energy industry. The first contract, estimated at $60 million over a period of four years, addresses the isostatic material needs of a major producer of polysilicon. The second contract, estimated at $25 million over a period of one year, supplies graphite systems to a solar equipment manufacturer.

Carbone Lorraine's high temperature division comprises four key manufacturing sites in North America: the graphite materials division, ultra carbon division, Midland Materials Research Inc. and the graphite engineering and sales division. These four manufacturing sites provide solutions for electronics, semiconductor and solar applications, along with high-temperature furnace components, metal casting and processing, mechanical applications, high-temperature insulating materials and laboratory applications.
