Solar developer Cenergy Power has completed two PV systems for Rio Bravo Ranch, a Bakersfield, Calif.-based grower of citrus, almonds and walnuts.
Overall, these ground-mounted solar projects, sized at 277 kW and 87 kW, are the fourth and fifth systems that Cenergy Power has built for Rio Bravo Ranch in less than two years, the company notes. The new arrays are expected to provide power to one of the ranch's reservoirs and selected well pumps.Â
‘With the Treasury grant and 100 percent bonus depreciation expiring by the year-end, we thought it would be an opportune time to move forward with the next solar phase,’ says Jamie Nickel, a principal at Rio Bravo Ranch.
