The Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA) has released an interactive map detailing where a renewable energy generator in a particular state or Canadian province can sell its renewable energy certificates (RECs).
The purpose of the map is to help show how a generator can meet the demand created by a renewable portfolio standard (RPS). The map reflects data from a report by Ed Holt & Associates that was funded by the U.S. Department of Energy and the Energy Foundation.
‘This will be a valuable resource for project developers, state RPS administrators, and other people interested in renewable energy markets," says Warren Leon, executive director of CESA.
