The Bellevue Union School District in Santa Rosa, Calif., and Chevron Energy Solutions have installed a 618 kW solar system that is expected to save the district more than $3.3 million over the life of the project.
The system is installed at four elementary school campuses and reduces the district's electrical utility costs by more than 80%, according to Chevron. The company designed, engineered and constructed the project and will operate and maintain the solar system's performance for 10 years.
