City Of Minneapolis Seeking Proposals For Solar System

0

The city of Minneapolis has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a developer to design, install, own and operate a 600 kW solar power system on the roof of the Minneapolis Convention Center.Â

The system will be the largest PV array in the state of Minnesota and the Upper Midwest, the city says. All of the electricity produced by the grid-tied system will be used by the convention center under a 20-year solar services agreement with the developer.

The project is proposed to receive a $2 million Renewable Development Fund Grant from the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) that would be available to assist in financing upon PUC approval of the project.

The RFP can be accessed at www.questcdn.com. After completing the Web site membership request and logging in, enter the eBidDoc# 1020783 on the ‘Search Projects’ page.
