Clear Skies Solar Inc. (CSS), a provider of turnkey solar electricity installations and renewable energy solutions, plans to develop a solar PV facility on its 34-acre property in the Cantil section of California's Mojave desert.
The project will be, at the minimum, a 6 MW solar PV facility, with engineering to begin on the first 3 MW in the fourth quarter. Development of the second stage of the project is slated to begin by the second quarter of 2010. The maximum size of the project will be dependent on capacity of the on-site substation and existing transmission line capacity, CSS says.
Cavallo Energy, a large-scale energy management and finance procurement company, will contribute the work in high-voltage, utility-scale power generation that is required for this project. CSS will be the lead contractor, and Cavallo will lead engineering and development of the project.
