The CLP Group's Australian subsidiary, TRUenergy, has entered into an agreement with Melbourne-based Solar Systems to develop a 154 MW concentrated solar photovoltaic power station in Australia.
TRUenergy will contribute A$7 million to the development of a 2 MW heliostat concentrated photovoltaic pilot plant and subsequently invest up to A$285 million to build the remaining stages of the 154 MW project, in northern Victoria. The Australian and Victorian governments have also committed funds to develop the solar project; construction is scheduled to begin next year.
