CNPV Dongying Photovoltaic Power Co. Ltd. says that ICIM/Euro Test Lab, based in Italy, has awarded the International Electro Technical Commission (IEC) certification to the company's photovoltaic modules series with power ranging from 190 W to 200 W.
The modules, constructed with 125 mm x 125 mm monocrystalline cells, were formally launched at the recent 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference, which was held in Hamburg, Germany. CNPV adds that it has shipped out 8 MW of the modules to customers in Germany, France, Belgium and the Czech Republic for rooftop applications.
The new 72-cell module series features large-area, high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells, anti-reflection coated glass and high conductivity interconnected materials. The larger diameter (165 mm) of the cells, compared to the standard 150 mm diameter, and high conversion efficiencies (which the company says can reach 17.5%) outperforms the industry average by 8%.
The anti-reflection coated glass ensures 93% transmittance at STC level and provides an additional 3% performance at field-level installations. The use of soft, ductile and high-conductivity interconnected ribbons ensures minimal resistive power losses both at standard testing and field levels, CNPV adds.
