Cogenra Solar, a Mountain View, Calif.-based provider of distributed solar cogeneration systems and renewable energy service solutions, says its solar cogeneration modules have now passed the requisite third-party standards for both concentrating solar thermal and solar electric certifications established by the independent certification bodies Solar Rating and Certification Corp. (SRCC) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), respectively.
Cogenra received OG-100 certification for meeting the durability, safety and thermal performance requirements of SRCC Standard 600. With the additional qualification of IEC 62688 concentrated photovoltaic collector and assembly safety, Cogenra's product is the only concentrating solar technology to meet both testing requirements, according to the company.
