Colexon Energy AG has developed the Colexon System C+Z, a mounting system designed for solar power plants on flat roofs made of lightweight materials. The system is TUV-certified and specially designed for thin-film modules from First Solar.
The inclination angle of the system – between 0 degrees and 30 degrees – is determined prior to construction, depending on the installation. The elements of the system are adjusted on-site to the condition of the roof and are easy to assemble and disassemble, the company says. Special tools are unnecessary, so the very light system (from 2.00 kg/per module) can be easily moved in case of roof repairs, Colexon adds.
The system is fixed by foil bonding and without any roof penetration. If necessary, the connection can also be reinforced with screws. The open construction allows an optimal air flow, so that no heat can accumulate below the modules, the company adds.
