New Generation Power Michigan LLC, a coalition of companies, plans to bid 100 MW of solar energy and 100 MW of wind energy projects for a total of 200 MW under Detroit Edison Co.'s request for proposals. The projects are estimated to cost between $650 million and $700 million.
The New Generation Power Michigan team includes the following members: New Generation Power, the prime contractor, which will manage the renewable energy systems; Patriot Solar, which will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services and racking materials for the PV projects; and Martifer Solar USA, which will provide EPC services for the PV projects.
The team also includes Windemuller Electric, which will provide EPC services for the wind generation projects; Starr Commonwealth, which will provide the land to build solar and wind facilities; Wanxiang America, which will provide solar PV panels; Solar Street Lights USA, which will provide solar engineering; and Anderson Environmental & Engineering, which will provide environmental permitting and assessments.
The companies plan to locate the projects in and around Albion, Mich.
