Con Edison Subsidiary Acquires 92 MW Of Solar Projects

Consolidated Edison Development (CED), a wholly owned subsidiary of Consolidated Edison Inc., and GCL Solar Energy Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Ltd., have completed CED's acquisition of two solar photovoltaic projects totaling 92 MW from GCL Solar.

The projects, situated in Alpaugh in Tulare County in California's Central Valley region, are scheduled to begin commercial operation in the fourth quarter of this year. They will be owned and operated by CED. The power and environmental attributes are being sold to Pacific Gas and Electric Co. under 25-year power purchase agreements.
