Germany-based Conergy and Raleigh, N.C.-based Holocene Clean Energy have closed financing on a 28 MW portfolio of solar projects in North Carolina valued at approximately $60 million.
The solar farms are located across five locations in Johnston, Duplin and Franklin counties. Construction began in February and will be completed this year. Duke Energy will purchase electricity generated by the portfolio under a 15-year agreement.
Conergy is providing engineering, procurement and construction as well as operations and maintenance services.
